Black and white illustrations, contains two catalogues, one 1914, the other thought to be early 1920's, plus relevant sheets from Buck and Ryan's 1938 catalogue. Pb. Fine. Sorry - out of print, but we do get occasional second-hand copies.

B143) The PRESTON Catalogue No. 18 May 1909. Reprint 1991. 11" x 8 1/2", 168 pages, illustrated throughout with clear black and white and illustrations. A superb catalogue, indicating the great range and quality of Preston tools. Preston, possibly because of this great range and concentration on quality, failed to survive the 1930's, and the rule and level part of their business was taken over by Rabone, and the metal plane business was sold to C & J Hampton of Sheffield, makers of record planes. Excellent re-print, a must for the Preston collector. Soft covers, fine. 15.00 pounds sterling
