I am very happy to report that the shoulder plane arrived last
Friday as you had hoped. This is a beautiful plane, and exceeded
my expectations based on the photograph. The iron is very sharp
(you have very similar sharpining standards to me!) and I put
it through its paces in my shop and it performed flawlessly. This
is certainly one of the very few tools I have purchased where
the sole of the plane was in perfect conditon and needed no lapping
prior to use. Many thanks for your help in this matter and I will
enjoy this plane for many years to come!
